About Vlad The Impaler: I am a British expat living in Thailand for the most part of the last four and a half years. Back in England, I was trying to break into journalism, covering movies and music. I was writing for student publications and I did some paid freelance work. I did this while doing two years at college and a couple of years part-time at university. At the latter, I was studying for a BA combined honors degree in Politics and Journalism. I got tired of England, so I dropped out, sold my house, and made the move here. I have been traveling to Thailand since 2001. Now I am teaching myself the craft of screenwriting, and I have returned to writing reviews for my favorite genre of film - horror. My interests other than films, writing, and music, include football (I still follow my previous local club, Crystal Palace, and of course my country), beer on the weekends, Oriental women, TV, reading, internet, exercise, and casual gaming.
