About kayleymonster: I'm a Film & Media Studies PhD student, so when I'm not watching genre TV and movies, I'm...writing papers on genre TV and movies. I'm interested in gender depiction and prescription in SF/F and horror; throw some homoeroticism or chicks with chainsaws my way, and I'm a happy gal. I've got a novel that'll never get finished but some poetry and fiction published here and there in the meantime. I've contributed to Pretty/Scary in the past, have a little blog called Hopeful Monster, and teach college freshmen about rhetoric through the lens of Fight Club. It's a life <3
