Abel Berry: Scary Stud of the YEAR 2010 The votes are in, and winning in first place with 30% of the votes is studly Sexican Mr. Abel Berry, newly crowned Scary Stud of the Year. Following a close second was Chad Lindberg, star of the I Spit on Your Grave remake, with drunken mick Sean Patrick Flanery a close third. Asian Sensation Michael Teh was fourth, and the rest all sucked.

Mr. October: Troy Ruptash Troy Ruptash is more than just an often-shirtless, tattooed bad boy. He's also the vampiric villain of the new sequel 30 Days of Night: Dark Days: Agent Norris. He terrorizes his human victims, and his viewers, with a sexy and evil delivery that will hopefully keep us conflicted about turning the lights off at night. Ruptash exudes a casual dark side; he's physically intimidating but charming and funny. In short, he's dangerous. And from Vancouver. And he's our Scary Stud of the Month. Troy tells us what it's like to be a vampire while doing so many sit-ups.

Mr. June: Michael Teh Ex-business-guy-turned-actor Michael Teh is one of those multicultural hotties we so rarely get to feast our eyes upon in horror and sci-fi movies like Megashark vs. Giant Octopus. This versatile and sexy Australian-born actor has been everyone from Jesus to a sexy Native American fighting off hordes of angry ghosts in the sci-fi/horror Wraiths of Roanoke to a member of a medieval Mongol horde. Michael gets to action-your-socks-off in his new movie White Wall - a futuristic thriller in which he displays tons of leather and ass-kicking. Hopefully a drop-kick or two. Maybe a shirtless scene? Michael joins us as Mr. June in our growing pantheon of Scary Studs. I hope you enjoy him as much as we do...

Mr. May: Abel Berry Sure, when it comes to Abel Berry you might be thinking, “If only he would keep his mouth shut and take his shirt off,” but while this is true of what one thinks of most attractive men, Abel Berry can be extremely charming when he thinks no one is looking. Abel is the tall, dark, and handsome filmmaker behind the new horror film Kodie; the Rudolph Valentino, if you will, of the indie horror film scene in Texas. Since most people in Texas don’t work out, Abel Berry’s incredibly toned physique makes him stand out as a God amongst men. He’s also managed to avoid a Texan drawl and I doubt he hangs queers, like most Texans. Most of all, Abel Berry is a yummy-looking horror fan who oozes sex appeal and pretends he doesn’t know it. Don’t let the horrendous capitalization usage on his Facebook page updates fool you - he’s a smart cookie. Check out Abel Berry, our Scary Stud of the Month and Mr. May...

Mr. April: AJ Bowen AJ Bowen is a man in-demand. Not only has he just finished an amazing year of appearing in the horror film The House of the Devil, he's just wrapped a role in Hatchet 2 and A Horrible Way to Die. You'll remember AJ from the 2007 film The Signal, in which he stole the entire film as the violent and be-bearded Lewis Denton. Since then AJ has had an on-again, off-again facial hair arrangement which can only be described as glossy and magnificent when present. This sexy bear (or other wooded-forest inhabitant)-like creature enjoys walks on the beach, romantic moonlit evenings, and probably also weed. Enjoy Mr. April, and revel in his sex appeal...

Mr. March: Sean Patrick Flanery Interview by Kayley ThomasSean Patrick Flanery – When I told Heidi I’d set up an interview with him for Pretty/Scary, I think her heart might have stopped momentarily. Mine may have skipped a beat too. There’s a lot to love. He had that cute and creepy thing going for him in Powder. He was simply adorable (I mean, very manly) as Young Indiana Jones. He had the honor of getting ganked by Christopher Walken in Suicide Kings. He’s brought us some serious (and not-so serious) scares in Demon Hunter, The Masters of Horror’s The Damned Thing, Kaw, and The Insatiable, as well as episodes of Charmed, The Outer Limits, The Twilight Zone, and more recently, The Dead Zone. And he’s got some more sf/f and horror in the works: Deadly Impact hits DVD this April with Mongolian Death Worms and Scavengers slated for later in 2010. Plus, he’s pretty easy on the eyes and a sweet, funny guy...
