Emily Hagin's new film Pathogen is to be shown in a two day screening event in Los Angeles at the Downtown Independent between February 26th and 27th.
In honor of “Women in Horror Recognition Month” February 2010, DOA Blood Bath Entertainment and Pretty/Scary will hold the Pretty Scary Blood Bath Film Festival on the 27th of February, 2010 in Addison, Texas, USA.
The Pretty Scary Blood Bath Film Festival will showcase a selection of independent feature and short horror films that have been written and directed by women. Films will be selected by Dione and Andrew Rose, curators of the festival, and will be announced in January of 2010.
Eve Blaack, owner and editor-in-chief of Hacker’s Source Magazine, will serve as the Pretty Scary Blood Bath Film Festival’s Mistress of Ceremonies

Female horror artists and icons will be the theme of the second annual Cara Gasper Memorial Art Auction on February 27th, 2010, sponsored by Horror Realm. What an amazing, and touching, event! Proceeds will benefit the Animal Rescue League of Western Pennsylvania, USA.

First Tuesdays with The Midwest Independent Film Festival continue with the inaugural Female Filmmakers Night on Tuesday, February 2nd at Landmark’s Century Centre Cinema, and they're showing the short horror film Skin Deep directed by Jessica Christopher. Psychological horror film weaving special effects and production design into a haunting tale of hidden childhood memories. In 2009 she also wrote, produced and co-directed Frozen, a short horror film with Darren Cox.
Other notable fantastical shorts screening include music video Race You by Samantha Hart and Jennifer Moody, animated Look for Me by Laura Heit, and Whirleybird by Danielle Corches. Check out the show times and trailers...
