It's shaping up to be a slow news day, so I'm going to go ahead and share something I know some of you will enjoy.
There's a certain segment of Planet Fury readers who are unabashed fans of Lifetime original movies. (You know who you are; there's no judgment here — even I admit to enjoying the occasional Valerie Bertinelli/Tori Spelling tearfest.)
There's also a segment that are huge fans of Anna Faris, an actress who is always better than her movies. A rarity in today's entertainment industry, Faris is an attractive actress who doesn't seem to take herself too seriously and is also unselfconsciously hilarious. I just wish she would take more care in choosing projects.
Anyway, Faris was last weekend's host of Saturday Night Live, and I'm happy to report she didn't suck. The show's writers didn't give her a lot to do, but they did come up with one sketch in particular that was quite good — especially if you like Lifetime and/or Anna Faris.
"From the creators of Lifetime original movies like What Did Becky See? and Where Does Brenda Go at Night? comes the first-ever Lifetime original game show. It's time to play What's Wrong With Tanya?!"
