This is oddly funny:

On a side note, I wish I could get a post-apocalyptic feature to shoot.

Hahaha I'm not a huge fan of Jimmy, but I will admit that was funny.

I love post-apocalyptic movies including ones like Doomsday and Reign of Fire. Have you see The Road Filmgal?

I need to get my hands on When the Wind Blows which is one of my favorite animated films that I've been dying to since Iron Maiden's new album came out with an 11 minute, epic song that was inspired by it.

No I haven't seen the road yet - I hear it's really depressing, and I much prefer the more action oriented or film noir-ish PA films.

The Road is thumbs up! Yes, it's bleak. But it's bleakly awesome. I dug it.

But Blade Runner isn't a post-apocalyptic movie unless I don't get why you mentioned it. That's just a very prophetic movie about the future of this country dealing with overcrowding and of course the inevitable merging of American and Asian cultures. Yeah either NASA or the private sector really needs to get on figuring out how to colonize other planets.

I think The Road is a pretty amazing film. It definitely is one of the most depressing I've ever seen and I had no desire to watch it again but I couldn't get it out of my mind because I thought it was pretty profound. Viggio and Cody-Smit McPhee gave amazing performances and I've been waiting to see him in a movie I liked since The Lord of the Rings.
