If you don't already adore Kirsten Bell ("Veronica Mars") this should cinch it. I have to say, I interviewd her for some crap horror movie a few years ago and she was one of the nicest people ever to sit at a press day table. She made a fan of me.

(the crap movie interview http://www.planetfury.com/content/kristen-bell-pulse-veronica-mars, and also here's some other cool info on her http://www.planetfury.com/content/i-love-kristen-bell-kristen-bell-likes...)

I think she should assume the mantle of "America's Sweetheart." Of course, based on her work in the funny new Showtime series House of Lies, she's leaving the world of romcoms behind for edgier fare. Still, I think she'd be a good sweetheart for our ailing nation. An edgier sweetie for edgier times, I say.

Kristen Bell is like Natalie Portman without the aloofness and aura of entitlement.

There is an adorable quality to this. And truthfully, almost anytime a woman who could get by on cuteness, is willing to risk embarrassment like showing that video wins points from me.
