Nazi Alert! 'Iron Sky,' 'Puppet Master X' and 'The 25th Reich'

If you got past the Puppet Master X part and are still reading, I'll weave you a tale of Nazis, my child...

Iron Sky is going to be the best movie ever made, by anyone, and that includes Citizen Kane.

Why? Because it is about Nazis. Any movie about Nazis that isn't JUST about the Holocaust is an awesome, unforgettable enjoyment.

Iron Sky is a sci-fi/comedy directed by Timo Vuorensola and is due to come out in April 2012 in the United States. They say "theatrically" but... I mean, that's debatable. They might just be renting a theater for one night. OR who knows? Maybe this'll be one of those Paranormal Activity things and it ends up in your local $15-a-ticket Arclight scamhouse? In any case, it's screening at Berlinale (that's a fancy European film festival) in November 2012, so chances are reviews will be flying from that point.

Check out this amazing footage with director Vuorensola speaking:

Not to be outdone, "Puppet Master X: Axis Rising" is the latest horror film with puppets, and NAZIS, from the Full Moon people (Charles Band). Puppet Master is a franchise horror series involving small enchanted puppets, posessed by demonic forces, that do the bidding (good or evil) of their masters. In the series, our beloved David DeCoteau's Retro Puppet Master, Puppet Master III: Toulon's Revenge and Puppet Master: Axis of Evil all involve Nazis and storylines that mix the Third Reich with occult forces.

Full Moon released this image from Axis Rising and I am in love:

Talking about Nazis makes me think about the movie I'm MOST looking forward to on Earth: "The 25th Reich" by Aussie Stephen Amis, which channels a kind of early-Peter Jackson sentiment I've been missing so much in recent years:

The 25th Reich is ALSO playing in Berlin, in February 2012, at a completely different but equally Berlin-ish festival called The Berlin International Film Festival.

All three films don't have a release date yet; I will keep you posted, as I am sure you are on the edge of your seat. In the meantime, quench your Nazi parody thirst with "Danger 5" — a team of intrepid 1960s secrets agents who foil evil Nazi plans on a regular basis.
