Gale Ann Hurd is producing her next comic book adaptation - and it's The Magdalena.
The Top Cow Comic's warrior nun series The Magdalena features a slutty-clothed nun fighting demons and weird religious freaks. 'The Magdalena' are a lineage of female warriors descended from the Virgin Mary who are the defenders of the Catholic Church against vampires, demons, witches, and other evils (*possible evils for Gale to consider for the film adaptation include The Gays, abortion, tolerance, and healthy consenting sex between adults)...
Patience, the current Magdalena, (cause, like, 'There can be only one') wields the all-powerful Spear of Destiny (the spear of Roman soldier Longinus that pierced Christ on his cross), taking her orders from The Inquisition, a secret order of cardinals that raises and trains the Magdalena. There is no way having sexy, slutty nuns fighting with weapons could ever possibly offend anyone. Like, say, NUNS.
The film adaptation is being scripted by Kevin Taft (Alone), and stars Jenna Dewan (A sort of poor man's Megan Fox who was in Tamara and The Grudge 2) as 'Patience'. The movie is set to be done in 2010...
