You know how some of the threads get really, really, really long? Can we have a 'back to top' button somewhere? That would be awesome.

Oh man that's a great idea! Happy

Hmmmm.

You mean, a button at the bottom of the thread that will automatically change the view to the top?

Would the "top" be defined as, the top of the current page (as in, page 2, page 3, so on, as some threads get long enough for multiple pages), or should it instead change the view to the very first post in the thread?

Both! LOL

Specifically, so that if you're, say, at the bottom of the third page of the Avatar thread, you can click the button and get to the top so you can see the list of active topics at the top of the page, or to the menu at the top. Top of the thread, top of the page, whichever.

Once you get there, you can always click the existed "forum" or forum title link and go back to start.

Hmmmmmm.

What if a forum thread had its own independent scrollbar, so you could scroll down the thread, yet the sidebars (with the active forum topic list) would remain static and visible?

Tristan is smart. He can make such things. I've seen them.

he better, because that's beyond my coding capabilities, lol!

Wink)) Thanks for the suggestion, ash! it was a good one.

I'm toying with the scroll bar idea - going to wait for "someone" to "visit me" sometime "soon" "so" I can show it to "her" first.

Note my clever use of quotation marks.

For now, though, enjoy the "Back to Top" clicky you should find at the bottom right of this (and other) threads. :hat:

Let me know if the location is convenient enough. I could tweak it a bit.

There is a "Top" button on the bottom left of every post. Is that new or am I just new?
