Hey, all...

I'm currently producing an "indie" horror film based on my novella of the same name. HorrorCon is pretty unique, I feel. It's a film about horror fans for horror fans, and I'm producing it by taking out a loan against my home. That's how much I believe in it. Hey, you gotta go big sometime, right? If I have to risk it all, I'd rather do it on something like this. Horror is pretty much my life.

Anyway, I'm promoting a crowd-funding pledge drive via Kickstarter that's only available to those inside the United States proper. However, I do have a Paypal account that will accommodate donations in exactly the same way, with exactly the same rewards. Hell, if you want to send a check or a single dollar in an envelope, I'll take it. It's the only way I get 100% of the money.

There's lots of info at the links below, and I've just completed the first round of principal photography at the Monster Mania convention in Cherry Hill, NJ. If it sounds interesting, feel free to check it out. Of course, I'm available to answer any questions you may have.

Thanks for listening, and thanks again to anyone who has a look and a think about it.

Are you shooting at Horror Hound this weekend?

Wow, I'll send you something Scotto. I had thought a doc on HHW this weekend would have been a pretty good sell. They do it twice a year though so there's plenty of opportunity. Texas Frightmare looks great too and of course Flashback weekend here in Chicago has an interesting line-up. JC in Kentucky. The mid-west is a hotbed of horror convention activity.

Taking a loan against your house says a lot. Good luck!

No, but I'm shooting pickups and exteriors at Monster Mania 19 in New Jersey in August. Tricky bit of business to get everyone to the convention cost-effectively, and then there's dealing with SAG and blah x 10. I wanted to shoot in Orlando at Spooky Empire, but it would have cost me my house. As it stands, it may yet!

Thanks a ton, Hans! Really appreciate the support. It's a story I believe in, so the risk is worth it. No matter what happens, I'll be glad I went for it. Of course, I'll try and remember that when I'm living in a box in the alley wrestling cats for tuna cans. :-P

Wrapped principal photography this past Sunday! Ten months, about 30 shoot days, and close to $50k. Better sell it, huh?

Updates and Facebook Stills o'plenty if anyone's curious.

The stills look nice. Any idea of when a trailer will be ready?

In a manner of speaking, yes! Never felt so satisfied, really. It's really great to put yourself through the ultimate challenge and somehow pull it off.

Cash, I should have a trailer shortly after the new year. I'll post something in here when it's up.

Trailer's up, y'all. Please select an HD setting (720, 1080). It looks a lot better if you do. Hope you enjoy!

That looks really well done but it's way too long for something that isn't actually telling us anything about the film.

Teasers are usually under a minute, but I guess you like that song, huh?

I like the song, but I guess it's about your taste for teasing. Happy

It's basically to build buzz and begin to build our relationships with distributors. If we get some kind of deal and it's decided a teaser will be distributed here and there prior to an actual trailer, a greater consideration of length may be appropriate.

Thanks for checking it out, Cash.
