C'mon guys, I mean Heidi's piece in Fangoria #298. Sheesh, dirty minds. Anyway, FGT's proprietor has an awesome article on Elvira—yes, that horrific lassie with the classy chassis—in the latest ish of Fangoria. Pick it up ASAP. As someone near and dear says, "You'll be glad you did." There's also an interview with Gene Simmons, who's on the cover, btw. He might be overexposed, but he's still an interesting interview.

Very well written and enlightening article/interview.

I haven't looked at anything else in it. I've been too absorbed in the awesomeness that is the latest Horrorhound! Each new issue is a highlight of my existence. Heidi needs to write for them!

LOl you guys are so nice. It was a very cool thing to be able to write a piece for Fango. Very validating. Wink

And about Elvira, no less. Very cool, lady. It's hard to truly get the impact she's had on horror culture unless you were around when she first hit.

I don't know. I'm going to look at all my options before I get a gun. i want something that looks good while I'm corralling my steers on my ranch, but also that can plug a dirty canary who talks to much, see?

Something that says, 'Patriot' but also 'It's curtains for you, see?'. Any recommendations?

With that and given that you're a Clint Eastwood fan I think the .357 Magnum is the only way to go. It's quite an attractive gun when polished nicely and those canaries wouldn't stand a chance.

It would also make the statement that, "yeah, I'm a woman and we can handle big guns too!".

Dirty Harry actually carried a .44 Magnum. This is a crazy assed gun. I've shot a .357, and was really impressed by how powerful it was. Then, I shot a .44. It's just an entire step above. The kickback and force these guns put out is immense.

After I shot the .44 for awhile, I went back to the .357, and suddenly it felt like I was shooting a .25 or something. Arguably, a great way to get comfortable with a .357 Magnum is to shoot a .44 for awhile.

Smith and Wesson actually introduced a .50 Magnum a few years back. I can't even imagine what firing that thing would be like.

You're right Tristan. My Clint Eastwood fan cred just got completely obliterated. He does talk about a .357 at least. In my defense I know nothing about guns.

I've always wanted to shoot a compound bow.

I think a .38 revolver would do. Stopping power, yet suggests a kindness looked upon favorably by juries.
