Reading that article actually sparked a rant from me on my blog in support of video games being an art form, albeit not the most well written one.
I'm under the vein that video games truly can be an art form, as much as any book, painting or orchestra, and Guillermo Del Toro certainly has the right idea. What does everybody else think?
