Adrianne Palicki isn't shaping up to be the Wonder Woman I wanted her to be...

Okay, here's the first image of Palicki in full costume and excessive makeup.

Does she have fake boobs? I mean, if she doesn't have fake boobs, that costume and the costume designer sure did a really good job of making it look like her boobs are fake.

So, I guess she's wearing pants instead of the stars n strips hot pants that Lynda Carter wore in the 1970s as Wonder Woman. And that Wonder Woman always wore in, like, the comic books, because pants are way less slutty and more practical for crime-fighting than hot pants are.

But if they wanted her to be more practical, then why is she wearing a lingerie boustier? Why is her costume covered in ghetto-gold accents if she's attempting to be more discrete and functional? Why is her costume made out of electric blue pleather instead of, say, cotton? Why does she need goops of drag-queen pancake makeup and bright red lipstick? Did anyone ask her if her costume felt comfortable and/or slutty?

Either give us something tried and ture by keeping Wonder Woman in the costume she always had, so we can enjoy our nostalgia and the fantasy of comic books in general, or give the woman a serious modern makeover and take into consideration the overall look and feel of her entire costume.

This is just some half-assed shit, here. Do you disagree?

Keep in mind, while deciding, that whoever put this costume/makeup together was paid, like, more than you make in a year. Hate it yet?

Truthfully, considering all that's going on with this project, I expected much worse. But, yeah, her boobs do look fake-y.

Like I think it could of been constructed better, and is similar to that of the one in comics so the look isn't that bad I don't think it is that bad. But ugh someone could of constructed this a whole lot better, the accents of this piece look fake like something you get at wal-mart in the kiddie section and the material instead of looking like leather look extremely plastic to me. I mean I don't know it doesn't seem at all authentic and the breasts don't sit right. Like the costume they made for Linda Carter was made with much more care I think than they did for this. The make up is ok, but not that great.

Why are her bracelets not matching?! Ugh.

Yes, exactly! It's like you know the pants thing isn't a bad idea you know I'm ok with that change, but yeah you're right and like I said "Wal-mart" you can get this look there for only $7.99. You know when I was very dishearten when I was a little girl when my mom stop making costumes and I had to buy the cheap stuff. I would try to buy the best cheap looking costumes they had. People thought I would buy some good stuff too. But I mean I would know what to look, but like even now I can't settle for that really. I rather put something together myself even though my sewing isn't that great. But thinking about movie costumes I could come up with some stuff buy buying things from thrift stores and garage sales. I could come up with something entirely more inventive and creative that something that looks cheap and store bought. That's my opinion I made a "Carrie" costume from an old pink nightgown and I just bought a tiara made a corsage. Throw some blood on me and spray painted the gown a bloody red. People thought that was the most creative costume. My friends loved it. I even bought pink shoes for 2 dollars. That costumes was so cheap and looks great. But again I'm a nerd for this stuff.

I'm sure Adrianne Palicki is a good actress and she's very pretty, but here she looks more 'porn starish' than Porn Wonder Woman, Chanel Preston, who's playing WW in the Justice League XXX.

I confess, I was a bit surprised... I follow many feminist comic bloggers and they were all actually pretty pleased with it...so to see it get such an unwelcome review was something I was not quite expecting. Feminists are not all of one hive mind?!

I see it as a cross between the traditional outfit and the current outfit from the comics.
