So, you didn't watch the new 'Elvira's Movie Macabre' on TV? It's going to DVD, so don't feel so guilty

Entertainment One will distribute the enw Elvira’s Movie Macabre on home video and digital in North America in June, 2011.

Remember how Elvira relaunched her show this past fall? Did you not watch? I agree. It got shitty show times - often past midnight. What old person can stay up that late???

Now you can watch the new series and really enjoy it at a regular time, like 3PM in the afternoon, with some weak tea and an egg-salad sandwich. The way Elvira meant it to be watched. Her show, Elvira's Movie Macabre, was relaunched this past fall and originally aired in the 1980s before half you little shits were even born.

The double-feature releases from Entertainment One will pair such really unwatchable public domain shit as George Romero’s Night of the Living Dead with I Eat Your Skin and a double-bill of Hammer Film’s The Satanic Rites of Dracula with The Werewolf of Washington. Future DVDs will pair such awful crap as The Terror (starring Boris Karloff and Jack Nicholson) with Eegah! and Scared to Death (starring Bela Lugosi) with Manster.

The series is a 34D Production and is written and produced by Cassandra Peterson (who also stars as Elvira) and Ted Biaselli. The series’ Executive Producer is Anita First.

I've tried oh so hard to catch these, but it runs from 2a to 4a. I actually caught most of last week's episode. I think it's gotten better since it began. I taped the first couple of shows and they were a little rough. But last week was pretty funny. I'm glad, because I wasn't sure an Elvira TV show was relevant in the Internet age, but I think she's gonna make it after all...

I really wanted to watch it, but the station that was showing it kept delaying it's broadcast (Sunday night at 2 am), so I just gave up. I'll be sure to pick up the DVDs, though, because the world needs more Elvira.

Okay, there is a 34D Production joke there, but I'm letting it slide..... Happy

Hey, Hulu is showing the Movie Macabre episodes of The Satanic Rites of Dracula and I Eat Your Skin right now. Yes, you have to suffer through commercial breaks, but they only last 60 seconds at the most and fit in with the TV format.

Don't know how long the shows will run, or if more will follow, but it seems like an easy way to support The Mistress of the Dark.

The last half of I Eat Your Skin is great! Especially when the basic plot of the movie is summed up to the theme from Gilligan's Island. Classic Elvira!

I saw part of Elvira's I Eat Your Skin episode (that's a disturbing image: "Yeah, I experienced an I Eat Your Skin episode once, but I'm fine now, thanks"). It's freakin' hilarious! Sadly, not even she can make The Satanic Rites of Dracula worthwhile.
