That's pretty damned crazy. Though, they must be somehow limiting that metric to certain kinds of games - I have no doubt that World of Warcraft has sold over 13 million in the US. They must not be including MMO's for some reason.

That's a good point Tristan. Maybe they don't include subscription based games.

I'm playing this at the moment and it's damn good, but not quite at the level of the Infinity Ward games.

And Sam Worthington's wonky Amercian accent gives him away within seconds. Just like in his movies.

Why doesn't that man hire a dialogue coach?

At the end of the day it's still only Treyarch who just a couple of games ago completely sucked. This is definitely their best game yet and while the single player is interesting it's nothing special and the multi-player is really just Quake with machine guns. Overall it's a fun package and I admit they used the incentives and cool awards to good effect to get you hooked but that's nothing more than the old parlor trick of conditioning which many, many crappy RPG's have used before it.

I think this shows exactly how vulnerable to conditioning Americans are because seriously there are way better games out there that don't rely on tricks but good 'ole fashioned solid design and immersive storytelling to be compelling like Dead Space 2.
