Nebula Awards Honor Catherynne M. Valente with an Andre Norton Award 2009 Nebula Award Winners, awarded by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, honored author Catherynne M. Valente with the Andre Norton Award for The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making. They also gave the SFWA Solstice Award, bestowed upon individuals who have made a significant impact on the science fiction or fantasy landscape, to author and editor Terri Windling.
Eugie Foster's novelette “Sinner, Baker, Fabulist, Priest; Red Mask, Black Mask, Gentleman, Beast,” beat out all the boys in her category.
