Virginia Madsen Signs Up for 'Red Riding Hood'

Catherine Hardwicke's Red Riding Hood has found a mom - in the form of Virginia Madsen.

Previous announcements have pegged Amanda Seyfried to play the title role, as well as other talent to include Gary Oldman, Lukas Haas, Julie Christie, Michael Shanks, and Shiloh Fernandez. Virginia Madsen is planned to play the mother of Little Red Riding Hood.

'Buffy' Big Screen Remake Dead?

Apparently, teenage actress Vanessa Hudgens has turned down the chance to team up with Sarah Michelle Gellar and bring Buffy the Vampire Slayer back from the dead, according to ShowBiz Spy. Which makes no sense to us because the last we heard about a year ago, the director of the original film, Fran Rubel Kuzui, was producing her own remake with Vertigo Entertainment, and it would be a remake, not a sequel or a prequel. What, then, is this crap? And what of the Season 8 comics out there, with Joss Whedon's input? Would THAT storyline just be ignored?
