Stephenie Meyer gets her own comic book To make your morning just that much more surreal and unfair, Twilight series author Stephenie Meyer is getting her own biography comic. Yes, a comic book about her, not her fiction. This is the fault of a company called Bluewater Productions, and they will release Female Force: Stephenie Meyer right before the new Twilight movie hits theaters on, November 20th, 2009.
It will most likely glamorize the life of the uber-Mormon housewife prior to her fabulous wealth and instill unrealistic expectations in young women that they, too, can get lucky and become rich off of a dumb idea. I hope there are scenes of Meyer in church every Sunday, praying the 'gay' away...

Jenna Dewan is 'The Magdalena', from Gale Ann Hurd Gale Ann Hurd is producing her next comic book adaptation - and it's The Magdalena.
The Top Cow Comic's warrior nun series The Magdalena features a slutty-clothed nun fighting demons and weird religious freaks. 'The Magdalena' are a lineage of female warriors descended from the Virgin Mary who are the defenders of the Catholic Church against vampires, demons, witches, and other evils (*possible evils for Gale to consider for the film adaptation include The Gays, abortion, tolerance, and healthy consenting sex between adults)...

The new Batwoman: 'lesbian socialite by night and a crime-fighter by later in the night' The newest incarnation of Batwoman, and not to be confused with Batgirl, the leather-clad sidekick of Batman and daughter of Commissioner Gordon in the Batman comic books, is Katherine Kane - a far more mature lead character who basically runs her own show. And screws women.
"Yes, she's a lesbian. She's also a redhead," says creator Greg Rucka to Comicbookresources. "It is an element of her character. It is not her character... If people are going to have problems with it, that's their issue. It's certainly not mine... Frankly, she should be judged on her own merits."...

Official SiteI'm not partial to necrophilia. It's certainly not something that would ring my bells on a regular basis. Sure there have been moments of self-doubt whenever Koji Suzuki's (is-she-isn't-she-dead) Sadako from the Japanese 'Ring' novels has seemed less roar and more phwoar! whilst creeping up the well towards her prey!

Brinkes of Destruction, Eternity, and Disaster. Brinke Stevens, Scream Queen, actress, author, screenwriter, and model, has been the inspiration for many a photograph, drawing, and fictional character throughout her career, but did you know that she was the subject of her won comic book in the early 1990's? In fact, three separate comic books? Brinke of Eternity, followed by Brinke of Destruction, was not wildly successful, but they were traditional, female-oriented stories of strength, power, and courage. Also, they are pretty funny if you know Brinke Stevens in person. In fact, we have a picture of her wearing her comic book heroine outfit right here...

Top Cow ComicsReview by: Superheidi
Finally, a comic book that women can relate to. If you enjoy cute things, anime, Gem and the Holograms, or Josie and the Pussycats, you'll love the new Animated Witchblade comic. Done in the style of the animated Batman series of the early 1990's, and the newer Teen Titans on the Cartoon Network, Witchblade and The Magdalena come together in this stylish and fun comic that reads like a cartoon rather than a clunky piece of literature!
