Another 'Battleship' Trailer Washes Ashore

The Universal Pictures marketing armada has launched another trailer for Battleship, Peter Berg's cinematic version of the classic Hasbro strategy game. And though I still think it's a stupid idea for a film, I have to commend the powers that be for their apparent understanding of one of war's basic strategic truths: An army must adapt in order to survive.

'Men in Black III' Trailer – Back and Here Again

The filming of MIB3 (I might as well use the official stylized abbreviation) was marred by well-publicized production halts, emergency rewrites and egos run amok. This, when combined with the tired, high-concept time travel plotline, almost certainly promised a disastrous final product. And while this could still be true, the producers have managed to cobble together a pretty good first trailer.

It seems like just a couple of days ago I was griping that although the new John Carter poster is better than previous ones, the trailers are still rather somber and lacking in excitement — wait, it was just a couple of days ago.

Well, apparently Disney's marketing team was listening to me, because they've released a new John Carter trailer, and it's pretty damn exciting!
