Indie comics is, to be blunt, a sucker’s game these days. The days of Dave Sim and Jeff Smith are long gone. The Direct market contracts more and more every year, plenty of small scale titles are fighting for catalog space with no way to beat the stranglehold Diamond Distributors holds on the thousands of comic stores left in America. To self-publish, and self-distribute, takes a certain sort of madness, or major balls. Not to mention serious cabbage.

Terrance Zdunich's 'The Molting' arrive on September 15th, 2009!

Scary Stud of the Month November 2008/Scary Stud of the Year 2008, Terrance Zdunich, is working on a graphic novel in 12 parts called The Molting.

You previously saw Terrance in Repo! The Genetic Opera as the sexy gravedigger with an awesome singing voice (he also created the damn musical!) Says Terrance of The Molting, "I'm self-financing and distributing this work... the first issue will be available on September 15th, 2009."

What's it about? We have no idea!

Scary Stud of the Year 2008: Terrance Zdunich

Mr. November 2008, Terrance Zdunich, was recently crowned Scary Stud of the Year 2008. This gorgeous, artistic and tantalizingly down-to-earth gentleman will forever be etched in the horror film fan's memory as The Graverobber in the musical/goth extravaganza Repo! The Genetic Opera. He recently took 'the show on the road' in the Repo! Road Tour, all accross the USA, meeting fans (and probably some stalkers, too.) Terrance accepts his crowning of Sexiest Man in Horror of 2008 will all the grace and humilty you'd expect from a drug-dealing graverobber in a semi-post-apocalyptic world ruled by a capitalist elite. Re-meet Terrance!...

Mr. November: Terrance Zdunich

Terrance Zdunich is the sexy baritone grave robber from the new Goth/rock opera Repo! The Genetic Opera, which comes out November 7th, 2008 in way too few theaters. Terrance's sexy charisma and manly warbling makes the industrially awesome song 'Zydrate' easily the best one in the entire show. But Terrance is more than just a pretty face singing in a way that makes even Dean Martin himself seem like a wimp. Terrance, along with co-writer Darren Smith, actually conceived of the entire rock opera itself from its humblest beginnings to the feature film (directed by SAW vet Darren Lynn Bousman) it is today. A modern Rocky Horror Picture Show for the angsty, horror-minded youth of "right-now", Repo! showcases Terrance's amazing creative talents (and sexiness!). Terrance's long brown hair and innocent blue eyes hide the fantastic powerhouse of dark creativity that he has inside and unleashes in Repo!. Also a talented storyboard artist, Terrance has worked in Hollyweird and has a lot of interesting stories to tell. But enough about who he is on the inside; take a look at how hot he is on the outside! Welcome our new Mr. November, Terrance Zdunich…

This absolutely gorgeous film combines the art direction of Suspiria, the lighthearted and colorful quality of The Fifth Element, and the darker aspects of The Crow into one big musical with a great industrial score. It starts of slow, so sit through the first 30 minutes of exposition and awkward comic book inserts and you'll be pleasantly surprised by this Goth rock opera. You won't be surprised by how bland Paris Hilton is as Amber Sweet, a sexy, vacuous debutante addicted to plastic surgery but you will be shocked at how Sarah Brightman's voice dazzles. Repo is a film of contradictions; when it works, it works, when it doesn't, it's embarrassing.
